The building housing the Music school was built in 1906 in the style of Hungarian secession. The Choral Society of Sombor was founded in 1870 and under its patronage the Music School “Petar Konjović” was set up in 1921. The act was signed by Branislav Nušić, the then Headmaster of the internal department of the Ministry of Education in the Kingdom of Yugoslavia.
